Ugly Betty Truth

“Don’t bother Gio. I can help you with this!”

“Oh, honey! This isn’t you! Gio is a total dog, he’s perfect.”

And for losers interested in the real thing, I present: “The Game” … enjoy!

… haha, “Game on, sandwich boy!” “But, you have a girlfriend!” “Not tonight, I don’t! … I mean, for the purposes of this research…” :D

Competing Economic Models

Alex is right, what’s going on right now is despicable. Unfortunately, it also seems pretty necessary. Will this hurt many people over time? Yes. Will we learn from these mistakes? Perhaps. The question comes down to “who’s doing the hurting and what is it we should learn.”

And, from what I can tell, the mistakes aren’t necessarily being made right now, they were made in the last couple decades with increasing deregulation of the financial markets.

And the best lesson to learn seems to me to be:

The liberal understanding of the economy and its problems has been, in recent months and years, superior to the conservative understanding of the country and its problems.

Whatever the spin ends up being, at least the plan actually being enacted is, as Ezra points out, what the smarter (Krugman Nobel, anyone?) economists have been putting forth.

Whether society takes the lesson and adopts their model long-term remains to be seen.

Lactational Amenorrhea

I could only get through about half of this youtube “breastfeeding at age 8″ video before getting sick/bored, but it did lead me to take special notice of this wikipedia article on breastfeeding & fertility that i found via this erosblog post on the subject.

That’s all, I’m done.

Except, also I had to look up the definition of amenorrhea - it’s like, “Duh! It is what it sounds like!” once I read it. *shrug* Go figure…

This Is So Wrong

Very Interesting

First, enjoy that meat while you can.

Second, while I think I should start simple until I get comfortable with my technique, this is quite interesting!

Third, so is this!

Interesting to me that two brews I like use “irish moss” … anyways, the important thing is, someone let me know when they find an Rugged Trail clone recipe, I’ll want to work on that

;)

Look at Adam get ahead of himself. When I can make a good simple beer, I’ll get back to you.
