Competing Economic Models

Alex is right, what’s going on right now is despicable. Unfortunately, it also seems pretty necessary. Will this hurt many people over time? Yes. Will we learn from these mistakes? Perhaps. The question comes down to “who’s doing the hurting and what is it we should learn.”

But yeah, I wish free-marketers and de-regulators had “a clue how complicated and pervasive the ‘rules’ had to be to to get a well-functioning modern market system: sophisticated concepts of contracts and enforcement, property rights, legal entities, proper accounting, bankruptcy, limited liability, etc… etc…, did not descend from the heavens but were, in fact, created.” [...]

Meeting Requirements

I’ve been thinking lately that, once Alex finishes her pastry chef program and things have settled down a little, I should finish up some sort of career switch/move on of my own. I’m not sure I’m ready to be, or want to be, a teacher. In fact I’m increasingly certain I am not.
