I Want A Dog Again (Someday)
Reading things like this really make me want to have a dog again. Unfortunately, both Alex and I have allergies to dogs, she more than I. But the minute someone markets an allergy-free dog, I’m getting one. Or maybe one of these allergy-friendly breeds would do the trick.
Well, if I’m not living in a city anymore. Dense cities like New York are just not right for dogs, I think, unless you can get them exposed to the outdoors a lot.

Whatever you do, just don’t get a poo. Ethical breeders just don’t do crosses without a solid long-term plan for a new breed. Poo breeders put up the window dressing of trying to make a new breed, but only breed first or second generation crosses (thus no chance of creating a new breed at all).
Lots of reasons why unethical breeders are a bad place to get a dog, I’m not going to bore you with them, but just sayin’ “do your homework” before getting a dog. Even research rescues before you adopt, you’d be suprised at the number of “rescues” that are nothing more than fronts for puppy mill rejects.
Sorry for the rant, but it’s kind of my personal crusade.
