Heathrow To Christ Church
Google Maps is awesome, and they just expanded to the UK. So, if you want to get from London Heathrow Airport to Christ Church, Oxford, you now know you just get on the A40 heading northwest out of London.
Apparently, however, it isn’t entirely up-to-date. But then, I imagine the US version isn’t, either.
Speaking of the US version, go to the main UK site and zoom out a couple times. You’ll notice North America come into view on the left, which you can then zoom into for US maps. Sadly, this doesn’t enable Google to tell you how to get from New York to Christ Church. But it’s still kinda neat, in a funny sort of way. Just the US and the UK in all the world. It’ll be complete if they add Australia. And Canada, I guess. Wouldn’t be fair to leave them out, eh?
By the way, for those of us who don’t understand “A40″ and such, this comment at Slashdot provides a nice little summary.
