A very bad, and more importantly, very annoying, cold. I mean, every time I identified a new symptom and acquired a new drug to target and eradicate said symptom, the little buggers would shuffle off to some adjacent area of my head and start fresh on a new project. I guess I could look on the bright side and say at least they kept it interesting with the variety. I mean, I’m pretty sure I’ve never had a sinus headache before. And the way they held back on the simple things til the last minute — my nose didn’t even start running until the fifth day! I gotta hand it to them; they impressed me.

But now I’m turning all well again — and hooray! — it’s just in time to open the windows and enjoy some cold, cold, friggin’ freezing, cold, Spring air! Thanks, Mother Nature!

Oh, hey, here’s a tip for all you guys: when you’ve been so sick you’ve had to take two or more days off work, on the first day back to work after you get well, be sure not to shave! You want to look like you’ve had a bad time of it so you can garner some pity. ‘Course, it doesn’t help if you usually show up looking grubby anyway. Note to self: start shaving more consistently.
